The Reverend 48

Since I first saw and heard Cream Eric Clapton's "Fool" has always inspired me....
Here's some history of this Iconic Guitar
http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Features/Legendary%20Guitar_%20The%20Saga%20of/
This is my first ever project
I can't resist posting these pics before I lacquer and add the Electrics and hardware
They show Deana the artist's work in all its glory!
To refresh your memory these are low res pics of Eric Clapton's famous "fool" Guitar

I sanded masked and added a basecoat to the Black SG

The Artist Deana has done an incredible job of replicating the "fools" vibe.........

It started off life as a Vintage Brand SG (all mahogany body)
I am redoing all the Electrics (50s style) added a push pull pot for coil tap
With some great advice from Jonesy
I'm adding new pups too... Irongear hot slag bridge and rollin mill neck

Deana loved doing it and wants to do more guitar art!
What do you think?

I think it looks bloody fantastic Mike.

Very cool Rev, awesome work and looks fabulous. Now you need to get out playing live, because a guitar like that is not built for just staying home  ;)

Cheers,

Wow! I always loved this guitar too. I think you can buy (expensive) reproductions, but doing it yourself must be much more satisfying. I agree with Nigel - this is one guitar that needs to be shown off! Amazing work. It really looks incredible.
