So I was winding down to go to bed before 2am, but I had a riff in my head. So, like normal, I pull out the br600 to record it so that I won't forget it.

...

Oh! Good idea for the second guitar...  Let lay that down first.

...

Hmm... Wonder what it would sound like with bass...

Let's try a lead...

Something is missing... Hmm... add a 4th guitar track... Something in the background...

3:15am... Damn... Okay, let me mix this right quick...

4:17am... Rough cut done... Many mess ups, but my mind no longer feels like it is forgetting something and is satisfied for the night...

Post and crash until 6am to go to work...

Pretty much a normal night... :)

Haven't done anything instrumental in awhile, let alone wrote anything instrumental.

Both Rhythms figured out and done in one take, lead improvised in two takes, and 4th guitar is a ResoLead patch...

Hope you like it ;)

**EDIT: Added version with vox here

Bluesberry

And I do indeed like it, a little swampy blues sounding, a lot of swagger, crying out for a monster vocal, deep gruff whisky-soaked kind of voice.  Damn fine playing there, and it really sounds good.  There is a lot of guitars here but it is mixed really well.  The guitar frequencies seem to be in balance   :D.  No need for correcting phase imbalances here  ;D.  Put a vocal over this and you have a monster song.  Really sounds good man.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Cool riffage!
Just curious what your guitar settings are on the br?

Great tune, has a cool vibe, no wonder you had to get it down right away!

Thanks for the comments everyone! Maybe I'll see if I can come up with some vox for this. Only intended it to be instrumental originally. I'll what I can make of it. ;)

Kenneth... Not sure what patch number since I am at work right now, but...

Right Guitar is P03 (?) Overdrive
Left Guitar is P4? American
Lead is P0? MSTGTR (something like that)
Background Guitar is P0? ResoLead

I'll edit this with the real number when i get home tonight.

It is worth noting that the patches do sound a bit different for me since I used an upgraded Ibanez RX60 Custom Strat. I have Dimarzio Cruiser PUPs in the Neck and Middle and a Dimarzio Breed in the Bridge. It really gave those patches a bit of a different feel than what usually see with those using my other guitars.

Killer groove going there!  Real driving sound and mix.  Yes, I hear those vocals also!  Little cut and paste will add some space for the vox and you can retain all those killer inspired rifs w/o over editing/rerecording them. :)
