If you came across a used BR-900 for $250, what would you do?

Awesome!

Thanks Nigel.  All of you guys have been really helpful ;)

I had a bit of a heart attack yesterday with that 900CD that was for sale:

So I'm out with the family doing some driving around from shop to shop, being the Wife's birthday and all, and I ask if we can stop in that shop to take a closer look at the 900CD since I never even got to see what condition it was in.  We discussed openly that if it was under $200 then it would be a good deal... pending it works well and is in mint condition.  I paid 180 for my BR almost 2 years ago.

I walk over to the counter to see what they are displaying and the 900 is gone.  They have some older stock sitting there, nothing impressive.  The counterperson asks 'Is there anything you'd like to see back here?'.
I mutter something like, 'No thank you, the thing I wanted to see is gone'.
She says, 'Oh? What was it?'
'It was a BOSS digital recorder...'
'Oh, heh yeah', she says, 'there was a surprise 50% off sale on Saturday.  the employees didn't even know about it until we came into the store.  Most of the fancy recorders and mixers sold then.  Everything was 50% off.'

o_0, ex-flippin'cuse me?

That's a heck of a lot more recorder than my Micro BR and for less than I paid for it.  My face drops, and I guess I'm visibly shaken because my wife starts rubbing my arm and saying how sorry she is.  I tell her I'd like to go now and we leave.

Let's hope that when a door closes, someone opens a window;  I need to find me a wicked deal on either an MBR in fully-working condition, or a fairly recent BR1600, 1200, 800, 864, 900 or 600 in that order (I think)!

Boo-urns.
Where does one go to get a clue?  Is there a Clue Depot somewhere?

Fate I tell you, fate. It would have been a great deal but you will love the BR800 if you can get one. Great piece of kit.

Cheers,

Nigel
