Not sure how to class this one.  Started out with a plucky rhythm that went funk, then pop, then.....?

You decide!  As always, all comments welcome and don't spare my feelings.  I have none anymore!  ::)

PLUCKY THING
------------------------
I just don't know
why you and me
don't see eye to eye

We used to have
such harmony
now don't even try

We are just here
to spread some cheer
keeping dreams alive

But if we stay
together this way
we may just not survive
---------------------------------------------
It's time to come
out in the sun -

No one says
life can't be fun -

But we may need
to make our own -

It sure does beat
tryin life alone -
-----------------------------------------------
To much of a
good thing isn't
good anymore you see

Go where you want
Do what you do
This is fine by me

If we want to
really make it
need to choose our place

Just can't let my
feelings have you
end up on your case

I can't put a genre on it, I'm afraid, but it definitely has an appealing groove, a danceable beat.  :)

(And thanks for posting the lyrics as well.  ;) )

Life is too important to take seriously.

Thanks Donna,  I got skimpy on the lyrics as it started out as a guitar jam.  It felt like it needed them but I should have at least added another verse instead of repeating one..... Since I'm no singer, I burn out on trying to sing real fast..... :(

This is a great tune. There's something about it that is untangible..it's a feel...it's soul. It's in your voice and in your guitar playing. It's so sweet...this is awesome. Soothing music for the soul. No need for other labels except my "new favourite"!

PS: I think you will get more listens if you don't try to demean your song in the title. People should hear this with an open mind. It's a truly wonderful song and recording.

Wonderful song, full of soul. A sexy funky groove, but not disco (and nothing at all wrong with a good disco song - how about "Bad Girls" by Donna Summer?). I like your vocal - smoky, inviting, conversational - and the guitar playing is right on.

Fantastic, jazzy.  Really great groove here.  Its swings.  You songs always have such a great rhythmic feel, swing it man, groove it.  I can hear Van Morrison singing along to this one.

The way this turned out you don't need a "Genre"   You created your own!!  You have such a soft sensual vox and it fit very well!!  And your guitar soloing was just perfect!!  Gave me the impression of a smokey bar!! LOL  I think you did awesome dude!!

I agree with Wiley. Genres are for store clerks.

Nice work Ken, liking the music.
Is that a Strat I hear or the Tele on the neck position?
Nice playing too!
