Man, this is so uniquely cool! The guitar captures the mournfulness of the original, yet with a stinging surf-rock twang. And even some flamenco touches to the 2nd lead guitar. I can imagine this in a Tarantino movie.

Lovely job. Burns guitars always had me running and screaming for cover in the 1970s but this sounds great here, and very true to the Shads type style. But you have some lovely touches here and it;s also a great recording.

Superb!

At first I thought "I'd have put the lead guitar a bit louder". But by the end I wasn't so sure... so I went back and listened again...

This is just stunning - excellent piece of work.

I've been eyeing-up Hank Marvin's playing quite a lot myself over the last few months (it's a lot harder than it looks folks). You've captured a LOT of his nuances, the little embellishments he does, and the almost casual "throw-away" way that he finishes phrases sometimes...

I can just about make people go "that's sounds like Hank Marvin" myself, but on the second listen of this, I thought "what if someone told me this was HM?" - my answer was, I'd believe them...

I'm full of admiration :)

Hank Marvins sound is a minefield -there are sites all over Europe where guys spend every last penny buying gear to try and copy "that"sound from the early 60s -

so your kinda sending me to bed with a smile on my face ;D :D :D
