After hearing Osckilo tug at my heart strings for a year with his classical guitar, I decided to jump on the train. Tharek was kind enough to work with me on skype for a bit, showing me the ropes via video chat.

Nothing special about this piece, it's completely unrealized, and strictly a 4 chord progression that I decided to slap together for future use. It's what I love about the MBR, press a button, then have fun.

I'm not much of a finger picker yet, but I can hear loads of possibilities coming.

Never a truer word said my friend, this shows great promise and again it proves the value of this site when you can call on assistance from any of the great musicians/song writers who contribute to Songcrafters. Keep 'em coming..........Willie

Love it when the piece subtely switches from pickin' to strummin', very well executed, smoothly done. Did you use a click track? Timing is steady, clean picking. Keep it up, T-Dawg.

I did use a click track. One of the things I admire about you, and so many more people on this site is the incredibly precise timing. I still don't know whether timing is a learned trait, or purely a talent, but I have horrendous timing, even with a click track.

Wow this is really good bro...I like the string skipping in the opening and middle chords. Never heard you do this type of thing before. The keys and now this?? You have the creative blood flowing my friend.

Great job!!!

Yep - keep at it! It sounds like you broken the back of it - I've never got that far on finger picking (although I am working on it at the moment).

I like this.

(Did anyone else find themselves listening to this and watching his avatar at the same time? Kinda fitted together in a manic sort of way... :D)

Tony, do you ever work or sleep  ???  You must spend all your time practising.
We have all heard how you have progressed as a lead guitarist over the months, then you show off your keyboard skills on your new Korg, and now you come along with this little gem in a different style of playing.
If there is a medal for effort and enthusiasm, you are top of the bunch for that.
Keep it up - its really working for you.

Again, to me, noodling implies no structure...and this is a very cool, well structured piece of music, and very nicely recorded I might add...I'd love to be able to record my acoustic like this...can't quite figure it out...oh well back to the drawing board... :)
