Hi all,  This is the second in the story of Peter Grimes.   There are words to this, but I need to get the arrangement to my liking before I even attempt them.  Is it too much like the theme?  etc..

Cheers

This has a fantastic groove.  Reminds me of some of that Peter Gabriel stuff he did during the time he did the :Passion: soundtrack, heavy percussion driving the song.  It is very infectious and very listen-able.  Insanely so.  Great stuff Leigh.  If it were me I'd be tempted to bring the bass up a touch.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

I love the horn sounds and also think that the addition of a vox track or two would really make this stand out.

This follows the original theme just enough, but not too much.
It's like an extension to the theme....Words & vox will be the
icing on the cake!

Thank's folks - you're giving me the encouragement I need to follow through with this idea.  Sorry if I've been a bit tardy on site for they last few weeks, but my wife's just been made redundant (company went bust) therefore I've had little time on my own to listen to music, let alone record anything.  She's not unhappy that she hasn't got a twenty mile drive to and from work, but it's a bad time to happen.

Thanks again.

Sorry to hear about the Mrs, Leigh. No time's particularly good for that to happen :-\
Anyhow, I love what you've created here. It has such an atmosphere, like all of your compositions. There's something unique about them. Your choice of instruments is always inspired. Can't wait to hear it again when U add vox.  ;D ;D ;D
