Is the MBR suitable for recording classical guitar? I would think so.

Very! Just use the inbuilt mic (go to the input button & press 'MIC'). You can then try the different mic effects to find a tone / sound that suits. I'm finding the BR really good for getting a nice acoustic tone via the mic...
