Since I've been a member here, I've been exposed to some artists I've always meant to check out and never did. Syd Barrett is another one - I know a bit about his life, but little about his music.
Great song, great version (though I don't know the orig to compare it to). Your voice is folky-yet-trippy, with just a hint of echo to it. The percussion is nicely hypnotic, and the chord changes are interesting - sort of Beatle-y, or maybe acoustic Nirvana. This is a song I'd like to perform.
