I could have sworn I'd already commented on this?  ???

Superb collab, guys - you have a definite synergy on these songs, a cool combo of new and old school styles, sounds great to these ears!

Okay to cover...not sure why you'd want to though...

I've listened to this several times, and each time I hear something new. This time, I'm digging the rhythm guitars and drums. Good stuff.
Reminds me a bit of late '70s power pop (Cars, Todd Rundgren), but with more arena-rock oomph. The vocal has a lot of muscle to it.

Ken is really a powerhouse, churning superb stuff out and driving all sorts of new collabs. And this is another great one. Excellent song (and as a dog owner, one to which I relate...). I especially love the guitar solo that starts at 2:35, sublime playing and great sound, and excellent vox from Dave, a nice assured performance. Instrumentation all round is great, and I love the ending, great keyboard sound and lovely (synthy?) guitar ending.

Cheers,

Nigel

Thanks...that Ken is something else, doing up music and spreading the joy all around.  I have enjoyed immensely the three colabs we have done so far, each time the music from Ken was totally unexpected and something I would never come up with, so it pushed me out of my box to make a song that I would never have come up with on my own.  Nigel, that ending guitar part was a strum on my Tele and a chord held on my synth at the same time (well not played/recorded at the same time, I'm no Geir with three instruments played at once  :D ), and the synth chord had a nice trail-off into the stars.  Thanks guys and thanks Ken.  I had to put my old (16 years) dog down two weeks ago, and doing this song seemed to help me with my pain, singing about it seemed to help, thats what I was feeling when I took Kens music and finished this off last weekend.
