Great song.  I would be tempted to take the drums down a slight bit, they overpower the fantastic rhythm guitars there.  Great solo, nice, real nice.  Lyrics, vocals, what's not to like here.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

Thanks everyone for the comments!  Yeah, Blueberry, when I did my last bounce I didn't have tracks 12 loud enough...anyway to remix, remaster without the drums sounding flangy ( always happens anytime I try to remix, since they're already in the mix )? Cheers!    ;D

I oughta get my ass to work, but I had to listen to this song again. I thought I had already posted a comment.

The composition and arrangement is really great, and the vocals fit like a glove.

I agree, the drums could come down a bit. What do you mean by "the drums are already in the mix"? You can always start mixing from scratch or turn down the faders and remove the effects of some parts (like the drums e.g.).

Which DAW do you use for mixing? Or don't you use any DAW at all? In that case it will indeed be hard ;).

How do you guys record and mix anyway? I often read about that Boss BR thing which seems to be a stand-along recording and mixing device. Isn't that a serious limitation nowadays?

Just curious ... I have never worked this way (I use Cubase with a bunch of software).

Regards,
  Steffen

This is a fantastic song Scottie !!!

I really dig your vocals on this one and the production is great. OK the drums are a tad high in the mix, but not ruining the song in any way.

Steffen, the microBR is a 4-track stand-alone. A lot of us have it on this site as it started out as "microrecorders.org". It's limitations are obvious, but what's not obvious is the creative boost a little gadget like this can be. I've made a couple of hundred recordings the last 2 years, most of them full songs, alone or in collaboration with some of the good people here. The brilliant thing about the mbr is that it fits in your shirt pocket, runs hours on two AA batteries, has a really good built-in condencer mic, lots of good guitar-effects, a simple but good drum-machine, superb mastering effects ..... I could go on and on ..... And it is totally quiet unlike computers. It is a challenge to make big productions, but it's absolutely doable. Ferryman and Launched showed the way and I've had collabs with 30-40 tracks (witch results in 60+ tracks if you keep all bounces) myself.

And the mbr rarely blue-screens ::) ;D

Thanks for the comments guys!  Geir, since you know what I'm talking about with the drums, is there a solution? :-\
