Okay, here it is, the new and improved version. I left out the opening rhythm measure. I added a solo at the end and I cleaned up some of the drum fills in the beginning. What do you think?

lyrics

he says he's voting with jesus
hey what's that all about
he ain't registered
but has so much clout

what's his thoughts on the economy
or making things better for you and me
you say he's gonna save my soul
but that don't get me off the dole

he says he's voting with jesus
i just don't understand
he says he's taking us
to the promised land

what's his policies on health and schools
for all the sick and all the poor
you say he's gonna show us the light
but i don't think that's right

to be voting with jesus
things 'ill never change
the rich get richer
they play the game

they've played that card so many times
you need to learn to read between the lines
they say it's you they represent
but that's okay, it's your intent

to be voting with jesus
they've got you by the soul
voting with jesus
for the status quo

they've played that card so many times
you need to learn to read between the lines
they say it's you they represent
but that's okay, it's your intent

to be voting with jesus
they've got you by the soul
voting with jesus
for the status quo
 voting with jesus
they've got you by the soul
and here it is again with new vox to go with riks reworking.

That is quite the compliment prive! television was a great, under-appreciated band. Thanks!

OK, a bit of bass, it feels really energetic and chunky, so i've kept it simple and added to the rhythm.
I put a tiny bit of piano into the last refrain but well down in the mix.
See what you think, I can always change it.

Cheers

i think obama winning now makes this song a bit out of sync with the zeitgiest now.
think this song is more relevant now
