Since "Holdempok" stated this could be Beatles Weekend; here's one more and then I'll get on with my life...I suffer from "Chet Atkins thumb syndrome", so this has more bass notes than it needs.  Anyway, at least I have gotten the hang of one-track recording (I'm dangerous now).

:D  This is so funny... I was telling my girlfriend at the weekend that I'd love to hear you playing Blackbird so that I could have a crack at the vocals! If you don't mind, I'd like to try.

You really do play beautifully. Quite sublime.

That really is fabulous.

I had a go with the vocals last night, but just couldn't navigate my way through the song to hit the right start points. I had to give up in the end  :(

But it's still a little slice of acoustic heaven, and I could never tire of listening to your playing, Ronnie!

Here's to more collaborations in the future!  :)

Mudhut

Ronhh, That was lovely just what I needed after work. Thanks
Keep on rocking in the free world :)

holdempok

Ronnie that was the song I had to do for my highschool class final. lol.

Awesome job.
Why don't we do it on the road?

Tim:
You had an impossible task as I recorded that one with no vocals in mine, and took a lot (too much) liberty.  Can I do a new version as close to "original" as I can get it?  I'm traveling this week, and actually playing for an event Sat/Sun.  But, I can try to get it done on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.  Also, would love for you to put vocals to my interpretation of "Julia".  Your vocal touch is right on, and as my wife of 18 yrs is named Julia (and seeing as how our anniversary is this month), you can really make me out to be a big shot if you do a good job!!! haha...no pressure of course.  I'll post next week.  Thanks seriously for your comments and suggestions.

I'm happy (more than happy...!) to add vocals to both Julia and a new version of Blackbird. I love both of those songs, and they're hard-wired into my brain from years of listening to and absorbing them. The way Lennon sings Julia really gets me... it's almost disturbing - but incredibly powerful - when his voice starts turning child-like for his (dead) mother. I won't add the same kind of emphasis as that, but will try to keep the overall gentleness - and  hopefully come up with something fitting for your anniversary.

Bring it on!  :)
