I found a great website that some of you might enjoy:

   Roger McGuinn's Folk Den
   http://www.ibiblio.org/jimmy/folkden-wp/

It has many folk songs with lyrics and chords for each song plus an MP3 by Roger McGuinn which you can play and/or download. All of the songs are licensed under a Creative Commons license, so you can legally download them and share them.

I think this site is a wonderful resource for learning folk songs. If we ever have a FolkFest, it will be especially useful and inspiring. The song categories include Blues, Cowboy, Mountain/Southern, Seafaring (wish I'd known about this site during PirateFest), and Seasonal (great for YuleFest).

Here are a few songs from Roger McGuinn's Folk Den:

I found this site a while ago, however when, my old laptop failed I lost all the links and ended up forgetting about it.  So thank's for bringing this back to me.  It's packed full of goodies and a terrific learning resource.  More time I shan't get back.
