has been all work and no play for me of late, but managed to get an hour with just me and my juno.

initially i intended the song to be about my experiences of collaboration, with jemimas kite, the norway trip, longhair tigers, honker, posc, hooper, dead divans jam and tons of others but as usually happens i went where the words took me. i watched the documentary about music by sir george martin that hooper posted the other day and i think that seeped into the song too.

i also intended to throw the kitchen sink at this one, but ended up just recording the juno live to two tracks and a dry vox to a third track. it seems a bit morose but i am quite pleased with the climax at the end so hopefully you can last that long.

You lift me up
And take me higher
Onto places
I can't reach alone

You spur me on
You start a fire
That helps me see
Into the great unknown

Two minds as one
In unison
The whole is greater
Than the sum of it's parts

The ideas bounce
From here to there
And we can't explain
Exactly what is happening

My muse
My muse
My muse
Our muse

The words the tune
The melody
Is hard to find
When you go looking on your own

Just a look or a nod
From you
Two chords in harmony
From the seeds together we have sown

Sweet inspiration
From the emptiness
From where it springs
I do not know

Maybe one day
It will abandon me
That little bird
That sits on my shoulder and whispers in my ear

My muse
My muse
My muse
Our muse

Hey there little bird
Come sit on my shoulder
And whisper in my ear
Hey there little bird
Come sit on my shoulder

It is rather stunning, the end just lifts you up.  It sure sould sound pretty with some of Tharek's acoustic in there too.

QuoteAll the songs we have done are nothing without what you did to them.
i couldnt have done any of them without the inspirational sounds from you. anyway that was my original intention of the song to say that without others to bounce ideas off of...........etc etc.

right quiz night am away tae the pub, so expect some drunken posts when i get back.

i love you all lol.
i am sober.
