Hi all, It's a really wet dark depressing day so what could be better than writing a dark depressing piece of nonsense.  ;D.........Willie
This is how the words were written but feel free to alter as you want. (I did).  Willie

Lyrics
I remember when I was young
My Momma wouldn't let me have a gun
I screamed, I cried, she wouldn't budge
But she did it out of love

Growing up I was pretty wild
Forgetting things I knew as a child
Standing upon my own two feet
I started packing heat

Chorus.
Aint it funny how things recall
And bounce around just like a rubber ball
I remember what my Momma said
Just walk away, hold up your head

If I'd rembered soon enough
My Momma's words, undying love
I'd not be here upon this seat
With wires round my head and feet

NonSense? Makes perfect sense to me. Great job Mr Wendon. Great laid back pleasure to hear song in every way.....Lectric

Sing as if no one were listening.
And live every day as if it were your last.

Really nicely performed, Willie.  :) Lovely guitars and vocals.

I enjoyed the country sound as well. I may be wrong, but I have the feeling country isn't the most-played genre here.  ;)

Hi all, again thank you for your comments and advice. Donna, very perceptive, country isn't the most favourite genre here. There are probably several reasons, one being that as far as I know there is no three/four patterns on the drums and the 2nd perhaps being the age group that posts here. I'm pretty damn old but only started to play country when the hair started to go and swapped nasal hair for shoulder length. I do believe that the genre doen't matter, a good song is a good song. Any words or music that can open your eyes to an emotion or can touch you somewhere has to be good doesn't it?...Willie

I couldn't agree more, Willie. ;) Matter of fact, I've written a few country lyrics (though not so many lately). I might post one or two country songs for the heck of it. ;)
