I was goofing around with my ukulele yesterday, and for some reason this song came back to me.

Ok, Ted used to be that guy from the 70's or 80's...
yup... he got tired of being too pop and cliche (although great)
and morphed into this crazy but friggin brilliant song...

What a bright and cheerful song. i could picture the old school buses
in the 60 s we rode everyday . going beep beep . very clever catchy
tune. and great vocal.s sorry i use vocals instead of vox. for some reasoni
can get used to saying vox. oh well.this is a definate thumbs up and

Thanks for the bumps, Stephen.

It was a big disappointment to me when my band, the Nutrients, vetoed this song.

Our singer didn't want to sing the first line.

Someone else in the band thought that these lyrics were about a child getting busy with the bus driver. Obviously that's not what is going on in the song, but there was no convincing him.

So I'll keep this one in my pocket in case there is ever a MET that I can join.

What kind of singer is that? I would have understood that if it was the drummer who had some complaints, or the bass player asking for a piss pause

Considering that the band name was the Nutrients the song would have fit real well!

You know there's a certain strain of rock music that is all about projecting masculine confidence, and control. I don't know for sure, but that first line just might not have seemed to him like something a cool rock and roll singer would do -- at least not a rock and roll singer made in the image that he had internalized.
