Thanks all!  :)
SS71.  I use a Yamaha PSR 295 digital keyboard as a controller.  This was meant as a "teaching" keyboard more than a MIDI controller, but if a keyboard has a USB out and a MIDI mode, it can be used as a controller, though you're better off with something that has a MOD wheel at least.  My sequencer/studio allows me to write in these commands via the Auto mixdown feature.  Here is an excellent tutorial on MIDI basics

I highly recommend Mixcraft 5 by Acoustica as a starter.  It's relatively cheap, easy to use and has a built in sound library that's really not bad for the money.

They also have an excellent support department.

That's basically where to start.  If you need any further assistance, please feel free to PM me.

Hi JB...can't help but listen to your tune again..it's infectious:)))
Have you ever listened to "Hot Rats" by F Zappa?..i used to own the old LP. The feel of your tune reminded me of that album:)) took me way back to my teens:))
Would you like me to try a vocal on this piece?..maybe some of the lead keys would need to alter a little..i quite fancy having a blast at your tune:)) just a thought:))
regards..

Hi NC and thanks for your kind words.  I'd prefer this remained an instrumental, but if you want to play around with it, go ahead.  Let me know what you come up with.  I won''t change anything though.  Sorry.
