Major Tom - Here's the backing track w/o drums but no vocals.  ORH always takes the full backing track, add the vocals, mixes and posts.

It'd be nice if he also posted the separate vocal tracks to his songs (hint-hint-still need the "Different Lanes" one) so we could remix different versions w/o him having to sing them all over again.  ::)

i really like this song. it freaks me out. kinda makes me feel sick in a way aswell. which is good, because it evokes emotion within me. sure, i may have had a bit to drink, but it doesn't change anything.

this is probably a stupid question, but what is the standard procedure when adding to a song that someone else has posted??? is it possible to transfer it to my own recording device, n take it from there? i really don't have a clue...

Really pretty easy, just DL it from the board here, put it in your MP3 directory in your BR or other recorder then import it into a song track to work with.  (at least that's how the BR works - others may need a different procedure like converting to WAV files or direct recording into the unit).

Once finished adding tracks, etc. then bounce or master the final mix and export to MP3.  Upload it back here and that's it.

The cool thing is someone can post a simple idea and others from all over the world can add different instruments to it, vocals, effects, etc. and end with a super song starting from just a simple inspiration someone has.

I once considered that online real-time jam session thing I heard about but having been in a band for years and knowing what flakes musicians can be (including myself) about "getting it together" this method of "jamming" is perfect in that:

1) You play when you feel like it.
2) No meeting arrangements need to be organized with other players.
3) No worries about making mistakes in your performance as if you screw up, just re-record it.
4) No high studio costs
5) Still retain some social interaction with the other players even if only text based.

hi all been busy with crimbo etc, will post those vox to you as soon as i get the chance hardlock. re working with others, and sharing the files, i also like to get the individual parts to mix, for example 1 person adds bass guitar another adds keys and another adds lead guitar, i get them to post their individual parts on the song thread in mp3 format then i or the others involved in the process can import the individual parts  into their  mbr or cubase and remix everything and see who can come up with the best mix.
