hi so far this is a rock3v1 drumloop at 120bpm, so hoping to alter that at some point. with a simple keyboard track and vocal.
looking for anyone interested to add their bits and see what happens with it.

is a song about questioning the written word, i dont believe everything i read, but as i understand it quite a lot of people do, newspapers and a couple of books in particular so lyrics might be a bit upsetting or challenging for people who wont or cant question faith, no matter what facts or science is presented to them. before anyone says science is wrong, i havent said its right but science does accept questions on its tenets, i think that is its strongest tenet. so i am not seeking to upset anyone just make em think. but i accept that i dont know the answer to anything major. only thing i know for certain is we are all gonna die, so enjoy it while you can
anyway looking for some of you out there to throw their oar in and add their wee bits and see wot happens

Hey oldrotten- cool tune.  I feel the same way about those with closed minds to science, even toward proven facts, not just the theoretical.

Anyway, I can't sing and have plenty of tunes, you sing and your song needs some guitar.  8)

I'll DL yours and you DL mine and we'll meet back here.  :D

hi hardlock, really cool tune, i would love to do a vocal  over it, but the lead guitar has left me no room, could you post a version minus the lead guitar, ill try put a vocal on, but will leave room for some lead round about the vocals, as i am writing this, the song is playing for the 3rd time, is really catchy and infectious but it also has a quirkiness that makes it stand out, real good work.
re collaborating would love to, if you look at most of my posts i now tend to rely on others to come up with the tunes as my musicianship is a bit lacking, however i think my strength lies in my lyric writing, tho my vox can be a bit hit and miss.

Thanks much!  Yea, since I can't sing I overplay all my stuff with leads.  I'll try stripping it down for you.  I might have some lyrics ideas around for it also but from the songs I've listened to tonight you've done, don't think I'll need them!  ;D

Actually I miss posted this here instead of in the MBR song forum as that's all I'm currently using.

Cheers,

yeah i saw it posted elsewhere, left feed back there too. look forward to collaborating, any lyrical ideas you have send em my way its all fuel for the fire, sometimes just the name of a tune or the story behind the tune can give me all the inspiration i need.

Finally got the backing track made for "Faith".  I love this song.  Real moody.  Trouble with not having the separate voice track is that the more parts I add the more lost the vocals get.

First is the original with added rym, bass, and leads.

Next is just my backing track with bass, rym, lead guitar with some drum editing.  If I had my keyboard setup I'd have added some string pads in the background.  :-[

Anyway, let me know what you think.

Nice work James - that's a real keeper!  Love the melody and feel privleged to be a part of the song!

You should post it over in the MBR post your work (or I can if you want) to get more exposure.  I'm sure it will be a hit.  ;D

Hey guys, if you could send me a copy of this minus the drum track, I could have a play about and write you one.
