Quote from: Bluesberry on November 03, 2010, 03:57:34 PMIf it were me with those specs I would look no further than Godin guitars, multiac series.  I don't know how easy they are to come by in easy London, but I love Godin guitars, I own a Godin, xtSA, and I own 2 Seagull acoustics (made by the same company), and they are fantastic guitars.  The mulitac has classical style neck, nylon or steel string, cutaway, slim body (like an electric-very comfortable to play), electo-acoustic.  Beautiful made guitar.  I want one just thinking about them here as I type.  You can even get Synth access to play a GR-20 or other guitar synth, guitar plus strings anyone...  Thats my suggestion Tharek.  I am sure there will be other great suggestions, Godin is mine.

I had an S6 just like Dave's. I made a stupid choice and let it slip away. I could barely play when I had it, and traded it off. I wonder what it would sound like now? I remember loving the neck, nice big neck for some meaty hands.

i have a 12 string  acoustic about 15-20 years old-one of the orignal seagulls-bare bones finish-excellent build quality and tone-my only regret is that it's not electric-i dont think it was offered that way at the time

yep seagulls are great guitars, you certainly get  a lot of properly made top class guitar for the money.
a friend of mine has a maritime.great guitar.
also another way of getting a wide neck steel string is, get a 12 string but only put 6 strings on it. i do this with my yamaha 12 string. does the job

all the best
