Maybe it is not cultural differences in this case, I read the lyrics but came up with nothing like staking and mass murder...LOL...maybe this says something about our dear friend Tony...you got somthing you want to tell us about Tony...Hahahahahaha...just poking at you Tony...having fun on a Saturday morning...how about it Tony, anyone buried out back in that huge backyard of yours...Hahahahahaha...is this why the kids never come to your house on Halloween night, just walk on by...you out front with a real chainsaw and all that...they just walk on by, and the looks from the parents... unless by cultural you are implying that all Americans are mass murders by nature...Hahahahaha...now thats a can of worms...we are just peaceful, polite Canadians up here, please don't invade us...

When I first heard the song, I thought it could have been written by Richard Farley on Feb. 15 1988. Sometimes you just never know.

Welcome to the Shadows

And with that, I have completed the best Thread Jacking ever.

Oh yea great song, strong instrumentation, I really like the lyrics, kinda reminds me of some of the lyrics from "The Division Bell", Pink Floyd.  My only beef with this one is it feels like the singing is too mellow for the music, my ears want to hear harder singing, maybe double up on your vocals to toughen them up a bit..... don't come after me, you and your evil sidekick Tony with your chainsaws in the night, that is just what my ears were looking for.  I guess I miss your vocals when you were at Geirs cabin, strong and wonderful, lots of character, you need to get one of those Rodes mikes I guess and then don't worry about the family, just belt them out... Great song guys.

What a day to bring up the chainsaw Dave. I'm actually working on firewood all day (well when I get of my ass and get busy). My chainsaw will be getting a much more difficult workout than flesh and bone today.

I buried a dog a couple weeks ago, I can't comment whether there are any other bodies though, I believe the 5th amendment covers me on that one.

I sort of apologize for a thread-jack, sometimes I can't help myself. When Jim gave us permission to interpret the song as we wish, I decided to get a little unstable with my interpretation!

I like the timing on the guitar line quite a bit. I'm not seeing the lyric as especially dark, but admit it's not a happy happy joy joy song. It's an enjoyable listen with a message. I don't hear that on the radio for sure.
