Cor Blimey, this took some doing...

A couple of weeks ago, as I was driving my taxi around the Penwith penisula, a curious song came on my radio. I'd never heard it before. I liked it. A lot. So I did the honourable thing and did an honest cover, instead of just plagerising the be-jesus out of it. The original is by Cheap Trick.

Many, many thanks to Blooby for a quite stunning piece of fret work. The rest of it sucks. I shoulda gotten that there Facemask bloke to sing it.

PS this is very respectfully dedicated to Danny Curtis. Who none of you knew.

Thanks again for asking me to play on it.  Just so you know, the guitar tracks are out of sync, so I humbly offer the mix with the anticlimactic ending. I actually prefer the way this just stops.

I thought that'd freak you out. Lets call it Production License.  ;) ;)

Man, this song takes me back to when I was a highschooler... (last year  :D )  Back in those days, FM radio pickings were slim for a punk/new wave fan, and Cheap Trick was one of the few bands that got radio play here who I thought were still pretty cool.

This has got all the great production touches I expect from you henwrench, as well as the solid bass, guitar & vocals - and I dig the vocal twist you put in there! That's a crazy cool and unexpected solo in the middle there - acoustic guitar? - it's very fast and fluid. Great lead guitar at the end. Solid sound all around...well done, fellas!

One acoustic and one electric. I think the files were out of kilter in the first post, and you're right, HW. It was freaking me out.

A fun collaboration.  Thanks again for the opportunity.
