A happy little song

A little imagined street corner busking from a while ago.  I think it passes for humour?  I never did get round to redoing it and now the subject matter seems a little "old hat".  It's a "My Names Jim" fantasy band song that never quite made it to the boards.  And by the way the reference,  Bob G, is actually Sir Bob G(eldof).  And I make no, no none whatsoever apologies for the quality.  It's all your fault for allowing comedy to be be chosen.  If you didn't vote you should be ashamed :o :) :)

Cheers Leigh

The Lyrics?

[wurdz]
I feel good,
I feel fine,
My jobs gone south,
But  it still shines,
The man at the bank,
Asked me to call,
And I'll sing this happy song,
As I hit the wall,

Da da dad dad da, etc.

The world's gone bad,
The sun's gone down,
In the morning it'll turn around,
The man on the radio,
Won't announce a new war,
And I'll sing this happy song,
As I did before,

The phone's on the blink,
And the tv's pretty grim,
So I'll go for a walk,
Skipping past the gym,
Sneak to the pub,
And have a little beer,
Then I'll sing my happy song,
And spread a little cheer,

Da da Dad dad da, etc.

I feel fine and I feel great,
But the banks they say,
Are in a right state,
Come on Bob G,
Won't you lend a hand,
And I'll sing my happy song ,
If I can join your band,

I feel great,
I feel fine,
I feel great,
But I'm on the line,
Come on Bob G,
Won't you lend a hand,
And I'll sing my happy song,
if I can join your band.

No apologies necessary Leigh.  I did vote and I have no shame.   ;)

I can totally relate to the lyrics - although I do go in the gym to try to stop myself being a complete fat bastard.  Only partially successful.

Enjoyed this song very muchly.

Fantastic song.  This reminds me of a Gritter song for some reason, the strumming, the vocal, the harmonies, the off-kilter swagger.  I dig it Leigh.
