Gotta say, you don't sound too unhappy about it, it's quite a jolly number.  I was thinking maybe you came in late (maybe gigging in a neighboring town) and she didn't want to wake you when she went off to work next morning.

I'm sure it's reminding me of a Buddy Holly song, can't think which one.

I read your lyrics first and tried to imagine what I'd have written, well, it would have been one a sad sounding song I clicked on the player and found a beautiful, light-hearted music, what a pleasant surprise! Great song, great guitar, great vocals Tom. And thank you so much for suggesting this site, it's a wonderful place with so many amazing songwriters. I'm enjoying it so much

It's weird - like people have said, really sad lyrics, but it skips along... BUT! I didn't notice until I read the other comments - so I think it works anyway.

Good vocals - and I love the guitar sound!
