Here's a last entry for Beatlesfest - one of the vanishing few songs that hasn't been covered yet.  A children's song.  This was also my first collaboration!!!  Geir was gracious to add some expert extras to my novice track.  Thanks Geir!!  (what a guy! -- anyone who hasn't listened to the "Geir sings the Beatles jukebox" needs to give it a spin - he's amazing!)

Beatlesfest sure was fun, and I'm going to miss it.  But at least now we've got a zillion cool Beatles covers that will take me a year to properly re-listen to.

UPDATED with Geir's remix now posted here.

It was late last night when I mastered it and foolishly enough I didn't have a listen on monitors ..

This mix has more harmony vox and a tad more bass.

This was a real pleasure to do des0free !!! The tracks and mix you sent me were excellent, you've relly become a good performer and great producer in such a short time !! It's amazing to see your progress.

So much joy here, so much wonderful sounds.  I agree with T-man, what an absolutely fine ending coda to this absolutely fantastic and wildly successful fest, everybody sing it, sing along, I am singing with you guys right now.  We should all get on here at the exact same time and play this song and all sing along, I am feeling all emotional here guys.  I need a cup of tea.

We should all pitch in and buy a submarine and paint it yellow and sail

I was hoping somebody would cover this for Beatlesfest! Such a clean production - everything sounds crystal-clear.

Des, wonderful job on the vocals, guitar, and whistling! (I'm now officially in awe of anyone who can whistle well). Geir, those backing vocals are heavenly, great bass, and cool electric guitar break (I love harmonized leads!).

Both mixes are terrific, but I must give the edge to the second one for its better tonal balance - I have only recently learned the value of monitor mixing (and have many more lessons to learn in this area).

Terrific job - iPod-bound!

Long live the Beatlesfest!

Great version. Captures the innocence of the original in its own unique way. Cool collab!
