Howdy, this is just too much fun.  Here is original song #2.  I am calling it "Just for you".  As always, I would really appreciate comments.  Thanks to the really great songwriters on this forum, I am inspired by your wonderful songs to try to create something of my own.  It is a really wonderful feeling to start with a few chords and a week later to have the finished MP3.  Thanks for having a listen.

That's got a nice way of phrasing.  I listened twice just now and am humming it.  Way to go, good work, keep it up, I think you're on to something me brother.  I'm going to learn this one myself.

Lovely work - a tasty tune, and two beautifully-played guitar solos at the end. It's like Johnny Cash singing with The Band (to my ears). Real Americana.

Looking forward to more!  :)

Thank you LesPaulGoldTop.  I am starting to get the hang of this songwriting and MicroBR a little more.  Thanks to you and the other excellent songwriters on this site for inspiring me to try it.  It really is a lot of fun.  I figure If I write some songs it will be easier to remember them when I want to play around the campfire.

HaHaHa, this one got buried and I never thought would come back up.  My second song ever.  I started to feel like I could do this songwriting thing.  I tried to make the singing work, worked hard at singing, and almost made it.  This is like a blueprint song, you can hear a lot of what came after in this one.  Thanks for the BUMP Tony, I have very good memories of recording this song, it felt like I really pulled it off.

I've been checking out all your Songs Dave, and watching how you hit a power curve at the third post. There is no turning back. Of course you know, I'm using you for my measuring stick, and I still think I'm way behind.... I gotta get back to that woodshed!

Missed this one from the early days, glad Tony bumped it as it is a great tune. A really strong vocal, I also get the Neil Young vibe from this.
Great guitar work throughout too.
