I'm not sure if this is the final draft. Very rough, completed in about two hours.

I kind of like it, though - Maybe I'll keep it this way. Please forgive the hiss and the click noises.

This is a part of a larger project that is in the dreaded General Discussion board and not the Songwriting board where it should be.

The painting/segment that I chose to write music for.

The lyrics that FuzzFace wrote. He is the lyricist and visionary for this project. So far it's turning out extemely well - I love it.

This here Picasso thing is a brilliant idea. Now more entries are being posted and we get audio glimpses of the 'whole', I'm getting more and more turned on to the concept. It's amazing how each contributor is coming up with songs that are still undeniably themselves, within their own 'styles'. An exciting project all round and a great entry here..... Love it....

As the lyricist on this project, I acknowledge the singers need to tweak / massage the words to get them to work... but it's rare that I would personally LIKE the modifications.

In this case however I think you simplified it and made it more direct and in a way, authentic and believable.

And the very simple arrangement is highly atmospheric.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it - I did stay pretty much true to form, but I ran out of music so I lost a verse. Sorry 

It was very fun to do, though. You created a great idea. I love it!

Out of the park Mark.  From that intro (shall be henceforth referred to as "that intro", folks from around the world will just know what is being discussed, its that iconic and wonderful) on to the wonderful singing, like David Gilmour at his best, the simple yet pleading strums, simplicity.  Just perfect.
