can someone explain to me: why are there 3 .wav files all 784MB, with the same recording on them.  i only recorded one track.

I assume you used the BR Wave Converter to export your tracks. It will produce one file for each stereo-linked pair of v-tracks that are selected, and one file for each unlinked v-track that's selected. For example, consider this screenshot:

Four v-tracks are selected: Tr1v1, Tr2v1, Tr3v1, and Tr4v1. We know this because those v-tracks are orange in the grid. Unselected tracks would appear green. Tracks 3 and 4 are stereo linked, while tracks 1 and 2 are not. We know this because the Stereo Link [L/R] button is coloured green under tracks 3 and 4, and v-tracks Tr3v1 and Tr4v1 have a short horizontal line between them, indicating that they are linked. So, assuming you specify a song name of "MySong", this example will produce the following files:

MySong_01_01.wav
MySong_02_01.wav
MySong_0304_01.wav

The numbers at the end of the filename tell you which v-track(s) the file came from. The first file came from Tr1v1. The second file came from Tr2v1. And the last file came from Tr3v1 and Tr4v1. So, the last file is stereo, while the first two files are mono.

The BR Wave converter can't combine tracks (it's not a mixer), so you have to mix your tracks on the BR down to a stereo pair of v-tracks, then select only that pair of v-tracks in the BR Wave Converter v-track grid, and select the Stereo Link [L/R] button below them to produce a single stereo WAV file rather than two separate mono files. For example, if your final mix was in tracks Tr3v1 and Tr4v1 in the above screenshot, then Tr1v1 and Tr2v1 would be green, and Tr3v1 and Tr4v1 would be orange, indicating that you've selected only Tr3v1 and Tr4v1 for export. This would produce the single file "MySong_0304_01.wav".
