Hi all.

This is a bass riff that I came up with, and my son Joe is playing the rhythm and lead guitars.  Drums are provided by the Micro BR.  I was thinking to myself that a sax solo would be a nice addition, and while I was playing it back, I was scatting what I thought the solo should be like.  I decided to just add the scat vocal in the second verse.  It was just fun to do, and we had a good time recording it.  It's also one of those riffs that I keep going back to.

I down write too much original material - that's Joe's department, but this is one of my few contributions...

Thanks for listening and hope you guys like it!

Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,

There were two mp3 attachments on your post, so I removed the last one.

Definitely a funky Seventies groove going on here - not a genre we hear a lot here, but one I appreciate and you guys did a fine job on it. Now can I get a 'hotpants'?  ;)

cheers,
cuth

Ooh, I like the groove. The bass has that funk edge. Nice. I liked the scatting as well.

Verrrrry nice. :)

How about adding some nice keys (e-piano/organ/synth)?

Cool. This would have made a great theme tune for a seventies TV sitcom.  8)
