I finally have something new to post here. It's been a while.
I have been working on this for a couple weeks. It started out as a song about stormy weather but is more about life and the storms we all face along the way. The title comes from a line in a Stephen King novel, I am pretty sure from "It". I thought it was a good line and have had it kicking around for a while.

Please let me know what you think all comments negative or postive are always welcome. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Dave

Lyrics
Picked up a paper this morning,
They said the end is near,
Theres a storm coming,
Better run in fear,
Batten down your hatches,
Hide and cover up your head,
Too late to make a run for it,
Better stay and pray instead,

(Chorus)
Sheets of rain fall down, falling to the ground,
The lightning walks and the thunder talks,
Winds swirling round, heading into town,
The lightning walks and the thunder talks,

Get your family together
And head for higher ground,
Better find safe shelter,
Where your safe and sound,
Theres a tornado coming,
A tsunami and a hurricane,
Gonna wipe out this old town,
Its never gonna be the same,

(Chorus)

Into your life rain will fall,
Sometimes you got to do your best and thats all,
We all have regrets but you cant change the past,
Pick yourself up,
Dust yourself off,
and face the music,

(Chorus)

Nice apocalyptic-sounding song!  Dig the thunder fx and the backdrop keys, over the strummin guitar; cool lyrics & vox!!   i'm sure we can all relate to life's storms along the way...

Yeah Dave, I really like this song. Kinda old 60 vibe, 13th floor elevators even vibe.  Very good songwriting.
