I really dig that strummy sound and the tasteful use of percussion - really enhances the story.

Well done, musicmadmac!

Amazing how a good song can come together in no time.  Very cool arrangement and vocal.  Like others, I hear the Dylan influence in the lyrics and singing.  Nice job!
"Play because you love it. Don't worry about if it will ever make any money, just understand that playing is an end in itself, and you play music, it will make your life better. And, don't worry about being a star, don't worry about making money, worry about nothing, just sit down with your guitar and let it speak to you and that will make your life better. It will bring beauty into your life. It's a great thing to do."     ---- David Crosby

dang musicmadmac ( I have to think of a shorter name to call you, thats too many letters, hmmm...how about madmac, or maybe just mac).  Dang mac, this is deadly cool song, if this is more your usual style, then count me in, I'm a fan.  Love that little yelp just before the excellent harmonica solo kicks in.  I could listen to this one a lot.

Quote from: musicmadmac on September 24, 2010, 08:16:53 AM...This song was "born" whilst I was buying red wine in Tesco on Wednesday this week.

That sounds like one rough, tough Tesco.

Dasilvasings got it spot on - Strummer meets Dylan.  I'd have like to have had a bass kicking in towards the end.  Good song though.  Nice one.
