Oh well ........

Somehow this works very well! All sorts of unexpected twists and psychedelic touches. The Shatner-like verses contrast very well with the phasered chorus, and the echoed bits at the end of the verses are very cool indeed. I really enjoyed listening to it.

That's a ballsy first post. I thought of the Shatner "Rocket Man" when I heard this.  Didn't even know he tackled this tune as well.

really interesting tones going on in here.

Nice.

Thanks so much to everyone for taking the time to listen and comment.  I am a huge Shatner and Star Trek fan, and felt I was "channelling" the great man for the verses.  Like I said my own songs sound very much stripped down compared to this one, but I may have to reconsider after all the positive comments.

Thanks for making me feel so welcome on here.  I think I'll stick around here for a while yet, it seems so friendly.

Cheers

Simon.

Oh, you must check it out, Blooby! It's a hoot. It cracks me up the way he says "a GIRL!!!"

This is really good. It's so unique , and when the chorus came I almost fell out of my chair! Simon, can't wait to hear more from you!

Nice one Simon.  Great fun arrangement but well recorded nonetheless.  Really enjoyed listening to this.
