j.g.

Everything fits together like glove on this.
Great production for someone who says he's a beginner.
That's a terrific bit of bass playing, love how it keeps poking its head up every so often.
Can't wait to hear some more tracks from you.

Glenn Mitchell

Thanks jg, I'm a bit embarrassed to say I'm not a beginner.
It's just taken me a long time to discover how much I don't know.
Doing it part time, and on the cheap, really hampers the learning process.

A Great feel to this...Great song structure and playing throughout!

I love your bass line there, snaking its way through the song.  Your lyrics and vocals are very good, I like the sound of your voice here, thick and present, sorta bluesy almost.  You are grooving here.  I would almost like to hear the main guitar even cleaner sounding, I don't know, real clean with lots of compression so it pops out of the speakers.  Very nicely done song withe a lot of soul.

Hi Glenn, nice jazzy piece of work and vocals reminded me a little of Donald Fagan which can't be bad..........Willie

Nice one.

I love how the guitars and bass work together. On second listen, there's loads of stuff going on! But it didn't get in the way of the song on the first listen.

The instrumental break is just perfect. I was about to echo BB on the bass playing, saying "especially the solo", and then the break started and I realised that the guitar is upfront as well...

The voice I kept getting reminded of was Phil Collins, which seemed a bit daft to me at first. But then I realised it might be the reverb/delay on the vocal? :D

If you're after suggestions, don't change this one, but do take a copy and try experimenting with a different vocal. Sing it softer and put less reverb/etc on it and see how you like the results. It feels to me like, with your voice, on the same band mix, you get the vocal in "closer" and the whole thing could sound a lot more "intimate".

Thanks guys.
Andy, thanks so much for the extra comments.
I respect your work and it really helps to have another pair of ears.
To all: I am looking forward to the extra time(I'm retiring) to have a listen to all the great work that's being done here. So much talent, so little time.

Thanks Andy.
Good comments.
I decided I didn't like the vox (Over processed as you say) so did a new vox track and remixed.
(Ok, I added a bit of vibes too. Can't help myself)
