Piratefest - Fear, Loathing and Laughter (Lobster Boy's song)

I give it five claws out of five, lol. The chords on the verse are very close to 'Creep' by Radiohead, but then it breaks out into that soaring, catchy chorus. Great storytelling, guitar tones and performance. That brace of dirty, squealing solos got me good I can tell you. Oh yeah.

Whay, what a good song. What a really, really good song. As has been pointed out, that chorus is great. Fantastic stuff again BB. I almost can imagine good ol' Neil blasting this out, with Crazy Horse dressed as Lobsters. In a world and a whirl of it's own...

RadioLobsterhead strikes again. The epic that is "Claws" grows in stature with this new episode. Brilliant fun and really catchy, especially the chorus, loved that. You certainly can't lose when your daddy is a big Lobster man (although tell him that too much pot isn't good for him...).

I'm going to be Mainelining on this lobster epic for a while to come! Great Piratefest entry.

Cheers,

Nigel

Thanks guys, for a song that started life as a very silly bit of banter about a lobster boy, I haven't been so happy with how a song turned out as this one.  All the stars seemed to line up for this one.  I didn't realize that I "snitched" the Creep chords in the verse section at first (they are very close but not exactly the same - thats my position on the matter   ;)), it was't untill I was trying to figure out a bass line and I found myself playing the Creep bass line, thats when I realized.  Ah well, there are only soo many chords to go around.  They probably snitched the chords from somebody else to begin with.  And believe it or not Nigel, no illicit substances were injested in the making of this song (my wife got a kick out of that), just some Red Ales.  I did up the bass, vocals, guitar solos and final finishing during a marathon session Saturday night fueled by a few of the Clancy's Amber Ale.  My wife was at work and my son was watching movies, great fun, I love having time like that to get in the musical zone.  These lobster dudes seem to be taking on a life of their own, who knows what they will get up to next, god willing and red ales a-flowing.
