Walk With Me

Enjoyed this song.
The panning of the instruments and clever placing of the vocals make the song very interesting and make you want to listen to more.
Think this is one of your best.

Hey guys
Thanks for listening.
I'm often inspired by the work I hear from you guys.
As in most of my work, I'm not really satisfied with it but I thought I'd better
get it out and see what you guys thought.
Side Effect I'm stuck between keeping it simply acoustic or rocking it out, Black Crows style.
Mark the Bass was done with elec guitar plugged into BR and using a Bass patch.
The tone is so disappointing but I'm working on it.
Andrewh I thought the simple intro and outro would be a great contrast, to the meat of the song.
Jim It's always cool to hear from you, you have one of he most unique voices around.

As usual I appreciate everyone's encouraging words and your time.

Nelson, this is a very excellent song.  I like the simple intro/outro idea, very effective, kinda classical sounding like medieval almost.  The song itself feels very bluesy to me, it feels like an old time acoustic blues kinda thing, almost like Taj Mahal kinda blues, his song "Queen Bee" sorta feeling.  I think you could bring that blues feeling out even more and it would be excellent.  What I hear is an electric blues solo near the end, that would sound good.  Thats just a feeling I had while listening.  I really like this one, it has a lot of soul.  There is potential to add a bit more to this and emphasis the blues feeling a bit more, but thats me, I love the blues and I hear blues everywhere.  Check out some Taj Mahal (If you haven't already) and you will see what I mean (I think, maybe, tell me if I am making any sense at least) about this one sounding very bluesy, old-time blues and yet very modern sounding, if that makes any sense.  Its more a feeling I have when listening than anything thought out.  Great song Nelson, very strong song-writing here.

Thanks "T",
Glad you like it. I always find your work inspiring.
BB,
You're right on.
I was think Blues/Rock as I was writing it, more Black Crows then Taj Mahal but I'll have to look up "Queen Bee".
I was becoming so frustrated with the song and my many ideas for it.
So I just posted it... to see if anyone else is feeling some of the things that were bouncing around in my confused little nugget.
I've been trying to come up with a hot signature riff and a kick ass Bass line, both have so far eluded me.
I'm receiving a lot of great ideas but non have hit the mark yet.

Another great tune, Nelson!

That acoustic sound of yours rocks. I like all the different parts you got in here, and the solid rhythm holds everything together. It all flows very well, and it held my attention all the way through.

Thanks guys.
As always for the  encouragement.
Trying to finish the song list for this project was getting down, then it dawned on me to post a song a get some perspective. I was working on this one for a few weeks and it was actually beginning to sound like crap to me, that's usually when I know I need to step away or post it, for some outside opinions.
It's still a work in progress but now I can see it with fresh eyes.
So thanks a heap...
