I cannot get my drums to sound like they do in the headphones when im recording.
I want to be able to do all my own instruments, but my drums sound like shit when I plug them into my computer.
Does anyone out there know if there is a program out there that can help, or  knows how to hook them up to a computer right by using a guitar port?

Im getting like reverb, and this treble overload when I hit the crash.

theres an example of the instant drummers i use below, and my electric ones

I use a DTEXPRESS Yamaha electronic when i record. Now i am using an aucustic miced and mixed. I run out to a recorder then to the computer. Let me know what you looking for and I'll see if i can share what i might have fiqured out....

If you swim against the tide long enough, it turns and becomes momentum.........

if your kit has a midi out then you can use it to trigger samples from a library like Steven slate or you could use it to record the midi data

then play that back through various different drum samplers until you find a sound you like

as for you overload issue it seems to be clipping a lot.

try lowering the overall output on the kit and then boosting and compressing as needed in the DAW
