A song about quitting your job, which is exactly what I did last week. This is a rip-roaring rockabilly kind of romp on my Les paul. It's so frantic that I could barely keep up with it on the bass part, lol. It's pretty messy and pretty angry. I like the way it's constantly poised on the edge of losing it completely. It almost wrecks in places but just about stays on the track.

Very different to my usual, and it was great fun because of that.

I was wearing this Vince Ray tee shirt as I recorded it (a lovely birthday present from my gf). Inspiration indeed...

Lyrics...

Down on Rue Morgue in the rain
Sinking with that De Ja Vu again
I sip their poisoned chalice every day
'That's All Folks' is all that I can say

No moss will gather on this stone
Stuff your job I'm going home

My mind's already flown
And my body's about to follow
My mind's already flown
Call me the boy of tomorrow

I've been murdering my time
Just to keep myself in wine
chained up like a galley slave
On their books but totally disengaged

No moss will gather on this stone
Stuff your job I'm going home

My mind's already flown
And my body's about to follow
My mind's already flown
Call me the boy of tomorrow

Great little rocker! Tight, strong lyric as well.
Well done.  :)

Holy crap Tim, this is good stuff.  I always like your angry rockers and this just blows my mind.  I love this song.  This is my favorite Greeny song at this point in time.  You have grabbed me by the ears and thrown me about my office this morning.  I'll have to pick the phone up off the floor and straighten up my piles of paperwork before anyone comes in here and sees the mess.  Ah hell with it, I am going to leave it like that all day, your song has made me feel all rebellious.  Hooo yeahhh!!!!! Take that management!  My office is a mess and I don't care.  Thanks Tim.

Tim, i'm right with BB on this, good grief man, that's monster playing!

Terrific song, absolute killer, and that bass line is just downright frightening!

btw, I walked in and quit my job after 17 years & it was what I consider a good descision, the place was killing me, literally.
All the best in your new employment.

This stuff is right up my alley! And pure energy fueled from life experience can make a song the absolute best - Well done here.

I'm a fan of Rev. Horton Heat and when things ain't going right for me I start out with "400 Bucks" and "Beer". Now I have a Greeny tune to throw in the mix - Sweeeet!!!

Yes - I love it.
