i have to explain that this cut is a total experiment for me.

you see, i have never played drums in my life, let alone record myself playing the drums.

it's probably the very reason why my better half has banned me form playing them.

but, my son has now gone off to college and left his drum kit here.

my wife had to work today and i sneaked up to my son's room with the little silver box, set it on the bass drum and hit record in the mic mode.

this is the end result of this completely impromptu jam session.

Playing the drums is really difficult at first, ive tried it and sound rhythm-less! (a new word!)

An interesting little tune, and if you were my neighbor I wouldn't complain , your jazz playing was light on those skins!

Nice job it's very pleasant and uplifting.

Kari - i did do the drums first. since i didn't use a metronome, as a live performance would go, i wanted to see how difficult to it would be keep a tempo for at least a couple of minutes.

as it turns out, this is one of those moments of revelation where i realize that though i have convinced myself that it sounds easy enough, it's harder then it really seems.
