Self-Portrait

I wanted to draw a picture
of all that's behind these eyes
but instead my face was a sheild
if only to buy me some time

Am I worth more than a thousand words?
I've stepped outside of the frame
My life has become my surroundings
No two see exactly the same

Now that it's all laid out
my portrait is solely for me
I can move freely about
and paint what I want it to be.




This song will flow into Joie de Vivre.
It could be short.

I could tackle it if you want new blood... but a few questions. Should I listen to the before/after piece and try to connect the dots, or is it a more of a do whatever and see how it fits later type of piece?

Up until now they have been done independently (as far as I know).

There is nothing wrong with trying to connect the dots, though.  Basically whatever inspires you.
