ken sent me this tune earlier today, so  i struck whilst the iron was hot and my throat was sore, i left some space for ken to fill with some lead just got online and heard it. i had to post it.

i wanted to redo the vox when i get home as i intended it to a guide track so recorded it very quickly before i forgot what i wanted to do then come back to it later and record it properly but now i dont know, i think it has a fragility that goes with the theme.
i often wonder
what this life's about
if i'm here for any reason
or a million random events
till we got a result

as i look up to the stars
and wonder if we are alone
is there anybody out there

one fine day i found you
and now i hold you in my arms
where the gods looking out for me
or is it all down to chance

as i look up to the stars
and wonder if we are alone
is  anybody out there

are we alone
lost in space
the only ones
the only race
is anybody out there

as i look up to the stars
and wonder if we are alone
is  anybody out there
is anybody out there
is anybody out there
is anybody out there

Yes, nice guitar delay to start it off with. Then the buttery smooth bass and vox level it all of perfectly.

Sweet backing vox Jim, and I love the guitar work a lot, Ken! Kind of has that Cony Island Baby strum to it.

Well done!

Ken strikes again, and his sidekick Jim hits it out of the park.  You two are on fire.  I can't say enough about this song guys.  Ken, I love your arrangement and that solo is just so sweet, bluesy, beautiful.  Jim, one of the nicest lyrics/vocals I have heard from you.  I can't say enough.  I say you two guys make a fantastic songwriting team, holy man.  Beautiful guys.  I say leave it alone Jim, sounds damn near perfect to me.

That guitar was excellent... and the vocal delivery and lyric was smooth as hell. Another good one.

This is special. Really special. I absolutely love the way the acoustic guitar came in from that shimmering, panned delay. Beautiful, sensitive lead playing and James' vocals carry the emotional depth even further. I wouldn't touch or change a thing. And that backing vocal panned far right on the fade out just blew me away. Wow.

Ken, I really dig your music. You've got a great style, and fantastic delivery. I'm going to have to give this a proper listen on monitors instead of cans. Jim, you really nailed the vocals, Like Mark said, smooth and buttery.

Interesting fact. I'm near deaf in the left ear, so I only caught the panned delay on the right at first. I then realized that I needed to flip my cans...... Well...... This morning I cut the top of my head shaving. I grabbed my cans like I usually do, flipped them over, and took the scab with them. Now I have blood streaming down my head.

Moral of the story.... nope there ain't one.

It's a damn good song. I can't wait to hear it again tonight. Ken, I really dig the instrumentals.
