Gu Djin

Very nicely twisted to the superb.  Moody and punchy.

God knows what it's about - but I like it.

Guild Starfire 5, Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster, K Yairi and Walden and a 12 Stagg string acoustic guitar and other music making boxes - including mandolin, bouzouki and 5 string banjo, uke and acoustic bass - a few M-Audio keyboards and a flute - all played and treated with equal love and attention - zoom ut 2 pedal and Logic Pro X

A total beaut. I love how the opening guitar stutter gives way to that mellow yet edgy groove. A touch of the 'Beetlebums' to my ears. Then there's the hypnotic panned arppegios drifting along in spaced-out reverie. I think there's a bit of a departure in this one for you, but I have to say it's a f*cking awesome one. I can't get enough of this song - pure magic. And even now I've stopped listening, it's stuck in my head. I feel like a fan-boy, but I dig your stuff so much, lol.

p.s. I thought the vocals were fab! I wouldn't change a thing on this...

Oh yeah... I forgot about the bass. 'Tis a killer.

BOSS indeed Mr Henwrench. That bass is sublime, it really is very good. Great song all round, could well do with some more vox when you are recovered. Love that guitar sound and the production is stellar. We now know you have worked as an engineer and it always shows. Been listening to "Wrong Songs" all afternoon, this is a real bonus!!

Cheers,

Nigel
