A Fender Bandmaster? Aren't those the amps without a master volume Stevie used to use? Bet it was loud in the VC household.

When a tribute is heartfelt, it doesn't come off as schmaltzy, and this definitely did not.

Great playing and singing. Really liked how you sold the line, "opened my eyes when I could not see."

Great.

Thanks again everyone for your kind comments.
My Grandmother passed away shortly after I posted this song. In retrospect, this song was probably a sunbconcious tribute to her as well.

Tony -  That is great man. Tell your girlfriend thanks for me. I 've been trying to turn on some of my friends to the music from this site as well. I think this is a very special place.

Ted - What can I say to that except thank you very much for such an awesome comment. I checked out that "Smile Brigade" link. I can dig that stuff too. They have a 60's sound to me, a little on the mellow side though.

Blooby - I'm not sure if SRV ever used a Bandmaster or not. I know he liked to play loud though. Thanks for listening to the lyrics.
It ain't pretty being easy.

Okay to Cover

i live about 30 minutes from Alpine Valley and everytime i head to Milwaulkee, i think about the man, his contribution to the music world and thank GOD Robert Cray, who was on stage with Stevie, but not on the helicopter with him.

an excellent tribute without equal.

vann? This sounds like a blues standard but it's an original , it's the real McCoy. Paid homage to JRV man. But the song was written by You, tone, style, feel, mix, & last but not least your VOX :o Wow indeed. U'v got the whole gamut there my friend. This is it  :) :)
