Damn. I was once so into SRV I couldn't find my own way. But if it weren't for him I'd never found Albert King and Muddy Waters and Elmore James and some of my favorite artists of all time. And eventually I went into what came naturally and not what I wanted to be. Which was not exactly in the SRV style or trend. This year I started listening again and loving it again and even playing a bit of the blues. And now this brings it all flooding back. Damn fine song and even more so the video was great. SRV and Jimi Hendrix literally made me a musician. Without those two I wouldn't be playing or singing or writing today. Thanks for the tribute.

Outstanding on so many levels.

The lyrics are touching  and the delivery is soulful.

Your playing just floors me... great tones and solos.

What a talent you are... look out world.

I feel that SRV  soul, in you playing and singing... just amazing.

Thanks for your comments and taking the time to watch the vid.

Tony - That picture of your ipod really made my day. I get a charge knowing that people are listening to my music in their cars and on their ipods, etc. I guess it is the online equivalent of hearing yourself on the radio.
I still don't own an ipod, but I do have some mixed CDs with various tunes from this site. Music from this site often fills my car on the work commute.

P.S. - I am glad to see there are some others inlfuenced by SRV on this site as well.
It ain't pretty being easy.

Okay to Cover

My girlfriend heard this on the Ipod the other day. She stopped in her tracks, said "who is that, I want their album, they are awesome".

When I told her that it was one of my "forum buddies" (who steal time away from her, and she can't stand it) She was floored. She had no idea the quality of music that comes from this site, and is now taking more of an interest.

Yes, this song is on her Ipod now too.
