This was the first solo recording released by Gabriel after he left Genesis. It was for the soundtrack of a 1976 film called "All This and World War II" which featured covers of Beatles songs by popular artists (Peter Gabriel, The Bee Gees, Elton John, Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne, Status Quo, etc).

Or, if Alfredo lacks the time or thinks the music would be too tricky to do (which is quite understandable), I bet Owen Bourne could do an awesome job of this orchestral version of Strawberry Fields Forever for you to sing over. Now, that I'd really love to hear!

cheers for that 64g i thought i had heard everything by peter gabriel, i actually have that album but never listened to it. but i bet peter could do strawberry fields better now than on that version, his covers album scratch your back is one of his best.
