Just me and my Tele... and MBR of course!  Well, also a cheap bass, but that's all!

Probably needs more lyrics and less leads but I play guitar, I don't sing so there.  :P

Soul Motion (c) 2010 Ken J Hill
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Time is just the earth in motion
     spinning round you see
Where it goes we do not know
but it won't wait for me
The time we seek is never there
     doesn't matter what is fair
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
It's the rhythms in our lives that free the soul.
Without that steady beat we'd lose our goal.

Through time we move along at measured pace.
For all of us are in this human race.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
It's the rhythms in our lives that set the pace.
Time itself defines us in this space.

With pounding hearts the lovers claim their roll.
Yet even dying stars transmit their toll.
------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The future's just a state of mind
     from planets going round
The clock keeps ticking you will find
keep on moving to the sound
If you stop you'll lose your place
time you can't afford to waste

That's a great song Ken.  You sing better than I do, that's for sure, and that thinline Tele (it is a thinline isn't it?) sings nicely anyway.  Love the walking basslines as well.

Cool!

I love this song Ken.
Great leads and rhythm guitars, I really like towards the end how you have 2 lead guitar parts at the same time.
I think your vocals are sounding a lot better , and fits good with this song.
I like how you kick up the rhythm up during the chorus.
Great work on this one.
This is a keeper.

Thanks guys!  Right Paul, a thinline.  I love the lightness and sustain.  I'm currently using an Agile clone that is almost too light and is a little harsh in tone at times.  I want to mod it with 3 PUs and 5-way switch for more tone options and use better pups.  I've got a few thinlines and this is my go-to one right now.  :D

I've gone through a lot deciding on a guitar.  Being fairly new to electrics, it's been an education (see here for more details if interested) :

Ken , this song is perfect as it is. I think your singing voice is very pleasant, I could listen for hours. Keep 'em comin'!

I almost bought one of those Agiles, they sure are sweet looking. I would love to get a Tele one day, maybe down the road. I tried out a G&L today, beautiful guit but didn't have the cash and wont for a long while. A guy can browse though right?

Very interesting (and jazzy) rhythms and changes make this a treat to listen to. The interplay between the vocal and the guitar is excellent, and I love the tones you're squeezing out of that thinline (...beautiful guitar by the way!). A very fine song and performance.

Hey Ken this is really good.  Jazzy, bluesy, fantastic guitar lines throughout, great mystical lyrics.  Its got it all as far as I am concerned.  Great ending.  It really swings.
