here's one I wrote 10 years ago as a proposal for Mrs. D....I finally got around to recording it and I like how it turned out...it's a straight up love song, no apologies...coincidentally, this is Mrs. D's favourite song of mine :)  I hope you like it.

Nothing to apologise about there Scottie - and it got the desired result didn't it?

Hi Scottie, as ORH says, this is a big sound and a song I need to listen to and download at home to do it justice. Excellent song...........Willie

great song, awesome mix. How could she say no to this?

A very BIG song. I love the massed-guitar onslaught - like Phil Spector meets the Mighty Wah. Not mushy at all, just a great, feel-good song that's beautifully performed. Great work!

Thanks for the comments everyone...ORH, Greeny...checked out Glasvegas and Mighty Wah...Great stuff, had never heard them before...I see the connections for sure.  Thanks everyone! ;D

Oh yes, I love that wall of sound production, brilliant. Really knocks you right between the ears from the off! It's very catchy, that sound is just compelling - how did you do it? The vox come over really well, and that nice melodic guitar solo fits like a glove.

Glad it had the desired effect - I've never done anything like this for my Mrs... BTW, did you call it "The Engagement Song" before she said yes? That might haver been a bit presumptious....

Cheers,

Nigel

Thanks Nigel...yes, maybe I should have called it The Hope She Says Yes Song :)....I think I did 8(!) Acoustic guitars...using the mic on the br, on setting 10 (MTN) with maybe 40 reverb...those 8 panned 40 left and right...then 4 electric tracks on Blues Div panned 30 left and right...bass and solo down the middle, vocals down middle using mic on br ( same settings as Acoustic), double tracked....and that's about it! :)
