I finish nothing for months, and then manage two in one day!!  8)

I've been fiddling about with this song for a few days while I was trying to finish Yesterday.

After posting Yesterday earlier, I suddenly realised that this thing was going to turn into another creativity-blocking monster...

So I scrapped everything I'd been doing with it, crossed me fingers, and went for a one-take, one-mic jobbie on it instead.

This was the best of four takes... It's not completely "honest" - I did have to overdub a bar's worth of guitar where I had a bit of a "moment" which left a strange gap. I was quite surprised that I got away with it seeing as the original guitar and vocal are all on one track and I couldn't remove the original fumble...

I think it might be a tad slow - I always play things too slow. But, interestingly, all four takes ended up roughly the same length. I was quite surprised by that.

Still, here it is...

Not sure I got all the words right either, or even in the right order...  :D

Sweet Jesus brother, I was dreaming of someone doing this song.  I was even going to try myself and blow my vocal chords out.  I am so glad you did it instead Andy.  You have a very dynamite voice.  I couldn't come 1% close to this kind of performance.  Great to have you posting one, damn man what a vocal this is.  AndyR, the man, the voice, the full deal.  Great post.  Great guitar too.  Its hard to believe this is just voice and guitar, it is so full.
