I haven't seen it yet, Tony. But Musikmesse starts in less than three hours (9AM CEST which is 8AM GMT or 3AM EST) and I'm guessing that Roland will announce it then, assuming that development of the update is finished.

Check the rolandconnect website for a countdown and announcements of new products (perhaps including the BR-800 update, with any luck).

I've been watching like a hawk, and still no sign of a firmware update. Only 11 more days left in the month...

Question: There is a reported firmware update which is supposedly to be released for the BR 800 to add back in the track editing capabilities along with a few other fixes. From the German site, it was to be released in April. Is there any truth to this?

I know! That was a disturbingly ambiguous response wasn't it? I think it's fairly obvious that I was probing, in hopes that the response would be forthcoming, and I could share with my friends. On the bright side, they did confirm a firmware update.....
