Wonderful Owen. I'm no person to comment on real music and I only dip into "classical" music occasionally. But I really enjoyed this, have been listening to the whole thing looping. Despite my slight disappointment that it didn't suddenly drop into some heavy beats (which was what the title was implying), it's a fabulous listen all the way through. Nothing I would suggest changing but there's nothing I could suggest anyway! I love the production, those Vienna samples sound great, lovely rich string tones and great bass sounds on the cellos (is that what you call the bass guitar in a string quartet?) .

Will Tharek be on violin or viola?

Cheers,

Nigel

Hi Owen, like most (but not all) of the guys on this site we come from a rock/pop background and although I listen to the "Proms" from time to time I'm certainly no expert on music from this genre. Having said that, this is pure delight and like Geir I need to get home and listen to this exceptional piece on a system that will do it justice. Wonderful.................Willie
